2018 Commonwealth Baton Relay in Darwin

09th Mar 2018

What a day, and night to be around such energy of the Commonwealth Games Baton relay.  A glorious day, until about 20 minutes before it was due to start then absolute mayhem as rain and high winds made it doubt that the whole thing would be able to go ahead.

But, in typical Darwin style the sun shone brightly and gave us a stonker of a sunset to say sorry for lashing us with all that rain.

Jessica Mauboy turned up the charm, overrunning her set but making the crowd beg for more.

A challenging shoot, Im always looking to produce bright, impactful (#isthataword!?) images but with all that rain it did have me worried for a moment there.  Just makes you hunt it out those images harder. They`re there, just sometimes you have to look real hard...
